wha? only 4 more shoppin' days?

you gotta be kiddin' me!!!

"get that tire changed, boys...
and hurry it up! we're runnin' outta time."

"sigh...i'm just not sure how much more of this i can take."

(thanks for the pics, isis.)

make no mistake about it. isis had nothin' at all to do with the next part.

and now abideth faith, hope, charity, and chocolate, these four; the greatest of these is not chocolate, but charity. so just forget the shoppin'.

lmao, i read this post so wrong... "i am not to familiar with the bible... well, i know my stories... but i never memorized the thing... but surely ti does not say that... " very good. i love the book of coriktians... did i spell it wrong? it has such wisdom for us to learn, lol.

it's spelled *corickthians.*

and sorta controversial and still being translated by heathens. and scholars. it was only recently discovered in a cave near khirbet qumran.

1st Corickthians...you crack me up! I like your version better, too. My family doesn't exchange gifts, so charity it is. No shopping for me. Any gifts are usually something I've made, anyway.

and thanks to you, one of the few gifts i'll give this year is FREAKIN' AWESOME! (shhh. don't tell.)

touché, joanne.

my *shopping bashing* is waaaay too easy. i'm sorry if i come across as a cynical jerk sometimes.

believe it or not, i like y'all who check double check your lists to make sure no one's left out. a heck of a lot.

LOL, not cynical at all, Rick. I didn't say "what" list I was checking. ;)

Honestly, I cut way back on the shopping this year, too. Just not really feeling the spirit.

This year I made memory quilts for kids and grandkids who aren't close by the rest of the year... there are photo fabric sheets that feed into injet printers and the quality is amazing... peel off the back and you have a picture to sew or otherwise attach to a quilt block.

For the grandkids, I purchased pre-sewn quilts that were ready for me to customize with the pictures. They turned out GREAT.

I was thinking that the photos you have of your mom and family would make a great "Memory" quilt for your mom...

Not so much the one who to push off a cliff, but the one who I should walk away from, wash my hands of, and not look back. Not so violent that way. ;)
